This morning, we Face Timed with Mme McIntyre's class at Deep Cove Elementary. Her class is a grade 3/4 French Immersion class, and we had some vocab questions about salmon for them. A strategy we are working on, if you don't know the answer to something... what can you do. Today we practiced asking friends at another school.
We learned that Salmon in French is Saumon.
We learned that eggs in French is oeuf or oeufs.
We learned that swim in French is nager.
They asked us about our release. We shared that we will be releasing our Salmon in Goldstream. We learned that they will be releasing their salmon at Tatlow Creek, which is only one block from their school. How neat!
What a fabulous experience both the Salmon and the live conversation with older students at another school.
