Inquiry Projects:
This week will be continuing to work on our partner choice inquiry projects. The children have been so passionate about their learning and research. We have been busy using books and google images for inspiration for our drawings. So far we have created a title page, an wonder statement and a visual of our topic for our audience. The children are looking forward to continuing on with their research and lots of groups have ideas for further projects which they will create to go with their topic.
Google Cardboard:
This past weekend, I was fortunate to attend an iOS Summit conference (all about iPads). We learned about various ways to meaningfully integrate technology into the primary classroom, and focused on making learning visible and celebrating the learning process. With the changes in the new curriculum, we are now focusing more on developing skills and the learning process versus the end result. I left feeling inspired and with a Google Cardboard tool in hand. Today we used the Google Cardboard to explore Goldstream park, where our salmon will be coming from and where we will be releasing them in April. The energy and excitement that was presented by your children was incredible!

Today we were just using the cardboard street view google maps app. The children are hoping to visit their homes on street view. They need to know their home addresses to do this, this will be a learning piece for most of them it sounds like. How exciting!
Letter Stories:
Over the past couple of months we have been learning and practicing the French letters and the sounds they make. We have been following the same pattern each day to introduce the letter and it's sound. We will now be beginning to use our knowledge to create a class digital book presenting each letter, it's sound, and some objects that start with the letter. This will be an ongoing project in our class.
