What a busy couple of days! We have been having our usual morning routine, cut a bit short due to early dismissal and early lunch time. Yesterday we visited the gym and today we had computer time, both with Mme Sunny.
We had an earthquake drill today. We first talked about what kind of feeling or noise an earthquake would make. We then talked about our safety plan for what we would do in the case of an earthquake. We would
DUCK under the table
COVER our heads and necks
HOLD on to a table leg
We then had time for questions and concerns to come up. Some questions that were more related to why we have earthquakes I directed to be discussed with your families. This may come up this evening. We then had Mme Lee talk over the system about the drill and how we were all going to practice. She then shook a box with some blocks in it to create a the shaking noise. We were so good at this next part, we DUCKED, COVERED and HELD. We continued until the shaking stop, we then continued as we counted to 60, waited 10 seconds and counted again. We then pointed to the area we would line up and leave the building. We remained calm, quiet and helped count. Bravo to everyone!
