What a busy and productive Monday! We started off our day with morning exploration. Some of us worked one on one with Mme Rebecca to do a Halloween math counting activity. Everyone will have a chance this week. We then had our welcome song and daily check in. After recess and outdoor play time, we came in for Brain Gym and our Calendar Routine. We did some singing and worked on our Halloween book. We then went to the gym for a few movement activities and cooperative games. Mrs Gronotte's kindergarten class joined us. This was a lot of fun! After lunch and outdoor play time we came in for Show and Tell and a visit from Paul et Suzanne. We then had our quiet relax time, today another option was added. Some of us chose to read and relax, others chose to do free draw and some of us chose to lie down and practice tracing the Lazy 8 with our finger. We then did some Halloween singing. We listened to and sung two different songs. I will post the Youtube links below if you are interested. We then did a little bit more in our Halloween books. We ended the day with free exploration time and some of us worked in small groups on a pumpkin art project with pastels and paint.
*Reminder Photo Day: Thursday October 23rd
*Reminder Library Books must be back tomorrow in order for your child to take out a new book.
Halloween Book:
We have a little song that goes with our books. We each are creating a short book about key French vocab words for Halloween. Together we read through the book and then complete a drawing to go with the vocab word. This morning we worked on 'Une araignée' (spider) and this afternoon we worked on 'Chauve-souris' (bat). This will help us with the vocab and then with a drawing as a visual aid to remember the word.
