We started off our day with morning exploration. Lots of us were excited to look at out snake pictures from yesterday, learn and write about snakes and play in the snake block area. We started to think about what snakes may eat... Mme Rebecca wrote down our quotes and ideas of what we all think they eat! This was really neat! We then had our welcome song and daily check in. We practiced our new Snake Poem as a class. After snack and outdoor play, we came in for Brain gym and our calendar routine. We then practiced our Snake Poem again, and two friends tried saying it on their own! Bravo! We then visited the library and listened to a French story about two neighbors, one who was trying to read a book in his apartment and the other who was being TOO noisy! We then chose a book to borrow for the week. We came back and did a letter hunt for the letter C. We had a quick story time before lunch. After lunch and outdoor play, we went and visited the Bowker Creek area. We compared the river to the last time we had seen it. We noticed that it was running much faster today than last week. We tried dropping leaves on one side, and running to the other side of the bridge to see how quickly they would float past! We then had some free time to play in the tree nature area, we played imaginative games and collected nature items. We came in for Show and Tell, and we had a visit from Mme Lee. Mme Lee did a friendship activity with us that helped introduce each other as our friend. She also introduced the idea of saying 'warm fuzzies' to our friends to make them feel good about themselves. We then went to music class.
