We started off our day with morning exploration and spotting Neige around the classroom. This was so exciting! He was hanging off a hook high up in the classroom! The children were so excited to see him. During our exploration time, the children moved a group of chairs under the elf to be a 'patrol' to observe him (all on their own). Apparently, Neige was blinking a lot, moving his legs and turned his head around a couple of times. Oh, and his cheeks got more red! Very exciting!
We then had our welcome song and daily check in. After snack and outdoor play, we came in and went to the other Kindergarten classes to spot their Elves as well! We are so shocked that we all got a parcel with elves! We then did Brain Gym and Calendar before heading to gym with Mme Sunny. We came back and drew in our Elf on the Shelf journals that Mme Rebecca made. Each day we will draw where Neige hides in the classroom! We then had lunch and outdoor play. This afternoon we had a visit from Paul et Suzanne and then show and tell. We then had literacy choice time, with a new choice that was Christmas themed (drawing and word work). We did some singing of Christmas carols in French before our afternoon exploration time. Some of us made Christmas cards using chalk pastels. Very neat!
